The Children's Museum is the perfect family outing.

It's often difficult to find something for the family to do on weekends. The usual movie theater costs quite a bit for only a few hours of entertainment. Thankfully, the Pittsburgh Childrens Museum is a wonderful, educational, and affordable outing for the whole family. Prices and parking were reasonable and we arrived about an hour after it opened. There was a small crowd for a Saturday morning, and was not overly crowded at all. Make sure to eat a decent breakfast before hand so your kids have the energy to make it through the day. Overall I think the kids favorite activity/exhibit was the water play. Though, it is often hard to choose because they pretty much enjoyed everything!
